It’s been a long time coming, but Friday the 13th turned out to be a lucky day for those looking to snatch up the new 2017 trader Sam’s Grog Grotto Hitchhiking Ghosts tiki mug.
The 2017 version of the elusive Halloween mug.
This year it’s the same version of the mug as 2016, but with a color variant. There’s no word on what the color will be for the original Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel, but for us Florida folk... the color is a blood red.

From what I was told, it’s the same system as last year for Grog Grotto. A limited number per day (that number wasn’t disclosed) until the mugs are sold out. What that total number? It’s anyones guess. But for now, expect the next few days to have long lines at the Grotto. The beautiful part of this year is that once you get your wristband, you can head to the patio bar... grab either a Fog Cutter or a non-alcoholic beverage for $30, pay, and collect your mug inside. No return time needed.
