Ready to take a flight to good eats? Space 220 will be officially opening up on September 20th in Epcot and we could not be more excited!
Recently, Disney Parks Blog released more information on more details and the full menu and everything seems out of this world! You start off your journey in a flight to space 220 miles above Earth in a space elevator (simulated, of course). Once you reach your destination, you are greeted by a star filled galaxy and an upscale dining experience.
Space 220 has a two-course prix fixe menu for lunch at $55.00 per adult (one appetizer and entrée) and a three-course prix fixe menu for dinner at $79.00 per adult (one appetizer, entrée and sweet). With a variety of delicious looking items, get ready for your taste buds to blast off to space!
Each category of the menu has a space tie in within its name. We have only seen the menu and a few peeks of the location on social media, but you can tell that this will be a highly detailed, well themed restaurant. Here are some of the food options you will find at Space 220:
“Lift-Off” Appetizers
· Blue Moon Cauliflower- Tempura Fried Cauliflower, Housemade Hot Sauce, Blue Cheese Dust (with blue cheese dust!!)
· Centauri Caesar Salad- Miniature Romaine, Classic Caesar Dressing, Parmigiano Reggiano
· Starry Calamari- Fried Calamari, Italian Cherry Peppers, Spicy Marinara, Roasted Pepper Citrus Aioli
· Space Greens- Bibb Lettuce, Dried Cranberries, Roasted Pears, Spiced Pecans, Apple Cider Dressing
“Star Course” Main Entrées
· Slow Rotation Short Rib- Braised Short Rib, Cheddar Grits, Bacon, Haricot Vert
· 8oz Filet Mignon– Cabernet Butter, Potato Leek Croquette, Haricot Vert. Add U 10 Shrimp 9.00 or Half Lobster 15.00
· X2 Duck– Roasted and Confit Crescent Duck, Butternut Squash Flan, Brussels Sprouts, Orange Glaze
“Super Nova Sweets” Desserts
· Carrot Cake- Plant-Based Carrot Cake with Plant-Based Cream Cheese, Candied Walnuts, Toasted Pepitas
· Chocolate Cheesecake – Whipped Chocolate Ganache, Chocolate Sauce, White Chocolate Crunchy Pearls, Cookie Crumbs, Dark Chocolate Shards (I have a feeling this is going to be my favorite.)
· Lemon Mousse- Lemon Mousse Sphere adorned with White Chocolate Rings, Lemon Custard, Marinated Blueberries, Lemon Curd
“Atmospheric Spirits” Alcoholic Beverages
· Stargarita
· Atmospritz – Served with a cotton candy cloud
· The Big Tang – Served with “Astronaut Ice Cream”
